Current UW Masters in Social Work student; PhD in anthropology from Brown University (2010); BA from Duke University, summa cum laude (2001); experienced writer (academic, for public audiences); extensive experience working in human rights and NGO world; speaks Russian. I TA’d or taught college anthropology and other social science courses (public policy, human rights) for a total of four years, including extensive one on one work with students during this time supervising independent studies. I also taught high school social justice/social studies courses for three years. I have broad academic experience in anthropology, public policy, and human rights, as well as extensive real-world NGO experience. I can help students to see the relevance of their academic work to future job possibilities.
I am available at the University of Washington - Seattle on Thursdays any time. On some Thursdays I may need to do Skype or FaceTime appointments. I can also meet on campus Fridays between 9:30am - 11:00am.
