BS degree in Computer Engineering from Cal Poly SLO, experience at Intel, full-time tutor
I graduated from Cal Poly SLO with my BS Computer Engineering in 2015. During college I accumulated 2 years of experience as an intern at Intel where I developed a Windows driver for USB audio and also contributed to the PCH firmware code. The corporate work environment wasn't for me though, and now I'm much happier as a full time math and computer science tutor. I've always loved showing people how things work: I do my best to help my student understand not just how things work but why they work the way they do. Programming is my favorite topic to teach, since it has so many applications and techniques to learn. Computer networking is also a really fun topic to work with. Math is really interesting too: the more I learn about it the more I see how it all ties together and just works! I love sharing these insights with my students when they come up. Experience: Self employed tutor for 3 years - tutoring math, ACT prep, Java programming, computer science Software development intern at Intel, 2 years - power and performance testing, analysis, and optimization for 1 year - supported PCH firmware team, implemented patches for 6 months - developed Windows USB audio drivers for 6 months Programmer at Cal Poly ITS, 2 years - supported Cal Poly student portal server team, wrote and deployed updates to backend site code I've climbed Half Dome, twice!
