Senior English Lit major in the Honors College. I was also the EIC of the Oracle. Can tutor any English or journalism course.
Why, hello there! I'm a senior majoring in English (conc: Literary Studies) with a minor in Spanish. I'm in the Honors College, and I love tutoring and editing English. I was the copy editor at the USF newspaper for two years and the Editor in Chief for one. We won the Society of Professional Journalists' Mark of Excellence award for Best All-Around Daily Publication in the Southeast region during my tenure. I am currently a learning coach for my 9-year-old siblings in their at-home English curriculum. I love helping people learn the nuances of English and develop a better understanding and appreciation for it. They say English doesn't borrow from other languages; English follows other languages into dark allies, knocks them out, and rummages through their pockets for like grammar (LOL). Whenever you need help understanding some of that grammatical pocket fluff, please don't hesitate to send me a message or a request! I edited dozens of essay-length articles every week for years at the paper. And while that was a lot of practice at editing in AP style, I have just as much practice in MLA from my classes. I have studied Strunk and White's Elements of Style every year since 1st grade. And I came home to a Harvard faculty apartment when I was born because my parents worked for the University.
I am always available to edit papers virtually, and I am on campus every day of the week. I have a gap on Tuesday/Thursday from 10:30-2:00 p.m., and on Monday/Wednesday, I get out of class for the day at 2 p.m. On Fridays, my only class ends at 12:30 p.m.
