PhD student who has tutored classes ranging from chemistry to physiology. Always willing to help students.
Hi! I’m a 1st yr PhD student in Exercise Physiology. My Undergraduate was completed at High Point University. I completed studies with a 3.9 GPA. I received tutor of the year award in 2016-2017 school year. I also received outstanding exercise science senior 2016-2017 school year. Additionally, have awards for presenting research in glucose homeostasis. I am experienced tutor in a number of science courses, even receiving tutor training. I was a Supplemental Instructor for classes such as Human Physiology, Human Anatomy, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry. I absolutely love tutoring and helping students understand the molecular world that dictates our understanding of life as we know it. I have 4 years of experience tutoring. I have tutored classes in general chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, physics, physiology, and anatomy. I have also been a dance teacher for the past 10 years. I am very good at breaking down hard concepts and creating analogies to help students understand the concepts they cannot physically see. I have also had success helping D students make B’s and A’s in their classes. Lastly, I have had a lot of experience helping students to develop new study habits. I find that teaching is the best way to learn, so I will always consider myself a student as long as I’m tutoring. This way, the student never feels intimidated about asking questions or looking for new ways to learn. I am a nerd through and through. I love all things science and get excited about all the subjects I tutor. I am happy to help, and always willing to share new knowledge of science to those who are willing to listen.
